Jim Kimmitt is the Managing Partner of Matteson Partners Education Practice. He has been involved in the Search and Placement of top professional talent since 1989 when he served as President of the Atlanta-based firm, Kimmitt and Associates. A major part of Jim’s professional career has been spent working as a sales manager in educational print product sales. Prior to entering education sales, Jim was a teacher in both Greeley and Loveland, Colorado. His college education was completed at The University of Northern Colorado, BA 1974 and at Colorado State University where he earned a Master of Education degree in 1978.

Jim has been involved in the field of education since college graduation. He has a strong passion for providing solutions to school boards and their top staff members in the search, screening and placement of CEO Superintendent level professionals. Jim is married and has three children and five grandchildren. When not working, he is an avid golfer.
