Debby Byrnes has specialized in the identification, assessment and recruitment of exceptional talent for over twenty years. She began her recruiting career in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986 and has assisted local, national and international organizations in the selection and retention of highly qualified candidates.

With a primary focus of understanding her client's immediate and projected human capital needs, Debby guides the search process with effective results. She has spent many years in developing a network of professional contacts that give her the opportunity to quickly and confidentially engage exceptionally talented individuals. Through this trusted relationship, she serves as an advisor, with unparalleled experience, to both her clients and her candidates.

Her assignments have represented a broad range of functions including Physicians, C-suite Executives, Senior Team Management, Marketing, Sales, Clinical, Business Development and Financial professionals within a variety of business, healthcare and nonprofit sectors. Debby deeply understands the process of search, and has actively been engaged to assist organizations in building their teams. She has had the privilege of working with numerous esteemed organizations including Coca Cola, Scientific Atlanta, Bessemer Trust, Cordova Capital, The LECO Corporation, The CDC Foundation, The VMI Foundation and The College of Charleston -- to name a few.

Before entering the search industry in 1986, Debby worked as an exercise physiology specialist involved with research, therapy and interventive treatment within various medical school and hospital settings throughout the country. This experience has provided her with intimate knowledge in specialized recruiting of physicians and senior executives for clients in all Medical/Healthcare sectors. Along with Matteson Partners' assignments, Debby and her colleagues have worked with organizations such as The St. Joseph/Candler Healthcare System, The Emory Healthcare System, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Elekta Instruments Inc., Medaphis, Genentech, Mariner Healthcare, Magellan Healthcare, Aetna, and Kaiser.

As an active member, she has served on committees for the local chapter of The Society of Human Resource Managers, The Metro-Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, The French-American Chamber of Commerce and The Japan-American Society. Her civic activities have included serving on the Board of Directors for The Samaritan House which provides vocational rehabilitative assistance to homeless individuals; Hands on Atlanta and Habitat for Humanity volunteer and Course Marshall for the Tour de Georgia. She has been an active Business Volunteer for the Arts serving as a marketing consultant to Dancer's Collective, a member of the Buckhead Rotary Club and the Georgia Biomedical Partnership, Inc.

Debby received her BS degree in Health Education from Appalachian State University and pursued post-graduate research studies within the field of Cardiac Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Debby Byrnes has a passion for bringing people together with great food and conversation. She enjoys spending time on the farm with her extended family which includes two horses, two cats and a black lab, Axel, who is her hiking buddy. After the meal is prepared and the conversations begin, any potential controversy that erupts into an exaggerated debate is put to rest by sending the victim to the 'Happy Room.' The Happy Room is filled with pieces of chocolate from around the world. Upon entering the mystique of 'sweet' delight -- heated temperaments disappear!
