Senior Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead its efforts in opening and managing an office in the Bay area. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to the team as they develop and maintain relationships with both private and public clients managing land development projects from concept to completion while maximizing project benefits for clients.

• Represent and market the firm in Northern California.
• Serve as a design and management resource; ensuring design concept is acceptable to agency and client.
• Prepare preliminary design concept, cost estimates, site evaluations and assist clients during land entitlement process.
• Achieve success of profit center through management and participation in team design, production, quality and training.
• Review and approve design work at every phase prior to proceeding with the next phase.
• Ensure quality of project design by plan reviews, training team members and facilitating good communication.
• Coordinate with governmental agencies, design team and survey/mapping to ensure project schedules/milestones have been met.
• Conduct job site visits, resolve construction discrepancies with alternative design solutions and initiate plan revisions.
• Identify client's needs, determine possible opportunities, advise client and initiate additional services.
• Manage project schedule, budget and quality standards in a cost-effective manner and meet the satisfaction of the client.

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Civil engineering design experience totaling 10-15 years
• A graduate level degree is preferred but not required.
• Registration as a California Professional Engineer is required.
• Substantial exposure to technical management of projects and personnel required.
