The Position

The Transportation Leader, Road Engineer will be responsible for the project management of transportation projects within the Kansas market and surrounding areas. This position will manage a team and will oversee large projects with KDOT (Kansas Department of Transportation).

• Responsibilities include:
• Principle Activities of the Leader:
• Strategic planning, direction and leadership of the transportation related functions
• Build a cohesive and top line professional group
• Allocate resources and efforts for the organization to transportation needs
• Develop a market driven business strategy
• Oversee and take charge of all transportation business development initiative utilizing resources to maximize potential
• Create a results driven team culture to maximize utilization and stability of the group
• Set standards and performance goals
• Interface with KDOT and ODOT and Municipal Sectors
• Interface with all other discipline leaders

$100,000 - $110,000

• This individual must have solid experience in project management.
• Additional requirements include:
• B.S. in Civil Engineering required
• PE License Required
• 10-15 years experience in road design
• Knowledge and Experience with Microstation
• 10-20 years Project management experience
• Experience leading a group on large projects
• Strong leader with significant managerial experience
• Experience working on projects for the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT)
• Experience in Business Development
